Japanese Internment

Michael Utsumi is a 29 year resident of Dublin. His greatest source of pride has been to support Dublin schools. In addition to his work for the education website OneDublin.org, for over 15 years Michael has served as a parent volunteer, School Site Council Chair and fundraiser, helping to bring much needed funds into Dublin classrooms. As a third-generation Japanese American, he has been able to share an important element of WWII – the internment of 120,000 citizens and residents both in person and via Zoom. He has delivered this presentation to hundreds of middle and high school U.S. History students.
