Dr. Michael Johnston has 30+ years of experience in Behavior Analysis and Education working with children of all abilities. He has worked in public and private schools in California, taught courses at a number of Universities around the world, and has been the owner and Clinical Director of Fit Learning Bay Area for 6 years.

Michael has a passion for the outdoors, for gardening, for running and staying fit. He is currently enjoying the adventure of raising two high-school aged children in the Pleasanton area.
After having his own (3rd grade at the time) child (diagnosed with ADHD) enroll with Fit Learning, it was clear that Fit Learning vastly improved his educational trajectory. The experience with Fit Learning saved his son's confidence, improved his belief in himself and delivered our family away from the stress we were all feeling as a result of his struggles with school.

Using the science of learning harnessed by our individualized approach is incredibly effective and rewarding! After an initial enrollment, we have an over 95% re-enrollment rate. Meaning, once parents see the transformation in their child, there is no going back to the old struggles with confidence, perseverance, or gaps in academics.
