The City of Dublin Parks and Recreation

 

Jackie Dwyer is the current Parks and Community Services Director for the City of Dublin. She was raised in Pleasanton, but when her family moved to Brentwood when she was 16, she began her career in public service with the Parks and Recreation Department. She joined the Navy a month prior to 9-11 and was assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Southern Watch. Upon returning from the military, she started her career again in Brentwood, became the Executive Director of Recreation for the Borough of Gettysburg, and then the Parks and Recreation Director for Stanislaus County before coming to Dublin. Jackie holds a master's degree in public administration and management. She sat on the Steering Committee for the 9-11 Memorial Trail in collaboration with the National Parks Service and contributed significantly to the state's ten-year Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan.
