Alan Hu Foundation

The Alan Hu Foundation is dedicated to helping to bring a better day to people who suffer with mental disorders.

Mark Rahman is a resident of Fremont and 72 years old.  He is a retired Family Advocate who worked with the Family Education and Resource Center for 9 years helping families navigate the mental health system.  He is currently volunteering with the Alan Hu Foundation and the National Alliance on Mental Health of the Tri-Valley.  He was the primary caregiver of a daughter with a severe mental illness who eventually died of the condition.  He is currently making her death have meaning by shortening the learning curve of families in the same situation.
