Colonel Johnson is a native of Anderson, South Carolina. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina-Spartanburg where she received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance in 1991. She received a Master of Business of Administration from Clemson University in 1996 and she recently completed the Army College where she received a Master of Strategic Studies in July 2021. She obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant, E-6, prior to becoming a commissioned officer. She was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant through the South Carolina Army National Guard Palmetto Military Academy Officer Candidate School in 1998. LTC (P) Johnson joined the Active Guard Reserve (AGR) program in 2007. Prior to joining the Active Guard Reserve program, Colonel Johnson was a Senior Cost Analyst with Lockheed Martin in Greenville, South Carolina.  She currently serves as the Garrison Commander for the Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (PRFTA) in Dublin. She is also the proud mother of 2 children, D’Anthony, 22, and Casi, 18 and one furbaby, Laila.
