The Value of General Aviation and the Livermore Airport

Pete Sandhu has built Five Rivers Aviation at the Livermore Airport to provide ground support for aircraft, pilots and passengers.

Pete has also served as the Commander of the Sheriff's Air Squadron since 2012. Among other tasks, the Air Squadron provides emergency relief, search and rescue, and transportation of Sheriff's personnel and equipment on short notice to support the needs of the community. 

Pete has also been a reliable supporter and host of the annual REAL Backpack auctions, Young Eagles discovery flights, Vintage aircraft displays, and the Air Force Civil Air Patrol. His facilities at the airport have hosted events for the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, School District, Fundraisers, Robotics competitions, Police Training, STEM programs and camps for kids, FAA Safety Seminars, Veterans appreciation flights, and young burn victim summer camps.
